James Lucien is freed from prison.

December 7, 2021

Judge Robert Ullman dismisses the murder conviction against him in Suffolk Superior Court. Lucien had been serving a life sentence for the murder of Ryan Edwards, 22, in Roxbury on June 25, 1994. But the charges against him are dismissed when issues come to light concerning the integrity of the investigating Boston police detectives who had investigated the case.
